Have to say the production is huge and the amount of research and effort put in is impressive. A really interesting visit for me for the first time in a major ski factory, just to get behind it all and see how complicated it is to make a brand new model. Day 1 me Henrik and Thomas went up the south west side, a bit cloudy at the top but the tram mountain station was open where we met amongst other photographer Mattias Fredriksson, riding down wa really good.. Day 2 me and Sten went up the North east face and god clear weather all the way. The snow was good and we didn’t punch through anywhere. Of course we had to go, 4h drive and i had one of the most fun pre season skiing days in years. Met a lot of people we know and stayed for dinner before heading back to Ã…re. This was a 8h total car ride in heavy snowfall for 3h skiing. Well worth it, seriously. Hoping to get some tacky dirt and maybe even a little rain since it had been so dry in Tahoe this summer. As it turns out that was not going to happen. It was hot, dry and sunny! Just like Tahoe. That was okay though, we still had a great time. Whistler’s bike park is just amazing! There are trails for all types of riding up there. Venue was amazingly good. Lucky that we got the comp of in time, the next days it got really warm and destroyed all the good snow. I wasen´t completely happy with my run but i had a late bib and the bottom of the venue was not as i expected so i had to improvise the bottom which i didn’t think went that well but apparently more riders were struggling there. De är väldigt styva för att vara en puderskida men de har tillräckligt stor rocker och breda nog för att hålla sig flytande men ändå ha kvar en bra fartstabilitet. Visa flyt och kontroll, gärna pÃ¥ ett knepigt ställe och stompa dina landningar. Got some mixed emotions where the sport is heading, this is my 4th season on the tour and i feel like the judges and riders want different things, during those years i have never herd some much complaining, you will always get it but not from 80% of the riders. We will go to work on that in a workshop in Fieberbrun and I’m confident we will improve. Anyway, a 6th place is ok i guess moving me up to 5th in the ranking with all to win and nothing to loose.
