Tamarindo to Nosara
sorry for slacking on the posting for the last few days, its just that nothing too exciting have been happening. we’ve been surfing all morning and all afternoon, eating really good sushi and mexican dinners, and just plain touristed it out.
we eventually got tired of Tamarindo and decided to make the 2 hour drive south to Nosara, a quiet (and expensive) little eco-tourist town down the coast. we’re only staying two nights here, then the real adventure-drive begins as we are planning on driving down the coast all the way south to Mal Pais and Santa Teresa, and people (and guidebooks) are telling us the drive is barely makeable even in the dry season.

I dont know what Bimbo makes but aside from having their logo on cars they also sponsor the national soccer team.
big iguanas and other lizards are eveywhere. this one lives under the roof at Taco Star in playa grande, and it will eat out of your hand.
Waiting for food at Joe’s in Tamarindo, on our last day.
they claim their nachos are ‘as big as your ass’. theyre not lying.
all crammed in the 4×4 heading towards Nosara without a map.
one of many river crossings. the car on the far right is ours.
after a few hours of pot holes and dead ends, we were finally there – playa nosara at sunset.
not a bad view. unfortunately the swell kind of sucks right now, as does the wind, so the surfing could have been better. Im not complaining too much though…heading to Mal Pais/Santa Teresa tomorrow and the swell forecast looks promising for wednesday. going to work on getting some more action shots/film for y’all…
