Last day in Breck

Went up late to the park today to watch slopestyle finals and get a few laps on our last day here in Breck. A little bit windy and extremely crowded, but we got a few shots with my new Contour HD 1080p messing around with 180s and such. Enjoy:

To finish things off, huge props go out to Andreas Håtveit, Tom Wallisch and Sammy Carlson for slaying it out there in the slopestyle course today. Oh, and Bobby the f*cking machine Brown for crashing in practice, getting 20 stitches in his leg, and still finishing in 4th place. Our Swedish friend Oscar Harlaut ended up in 10th after a mellow, but perfectly executed run. The Dew Tour is now packing it’s big, extreme bags, and heads to Utah for the second stop in february. Can’t wait!

  3. as much as I respect mike and cody’s groundbreaking surf ski adventure in maui, I don’t think I’ll ever trade in my boards for a pair of wakeskis. how would you paddle in for a wave? also, you could destroy your knees in seconds if you fell in the whitewash on a heavy one. also, I don’t think walking around in ski boots in bali’s sand would be too comfortable, either.

    En allmän fråga: Tror du att skidåkares och skidföretags bloggar/videobloggar kommer att ersätta skidfilmen? Med ett utvecklat videobloggeri och annan snabb videobevakning av diverse event känns det mindre och mindre angeläget att köpa skidfilm då man sett mycket av de nya tricken osv när filmerna kommer ut flera månader senare (Detta kanske i första hand gäller jibb/freestyle-skidåkning). Folk verkar ju även mer och mer tycka att saker ska vara gratis. För skidföretagen är det säkert även billigare och mer effektivt att driva bloggar än att sponsra filmer.

    Hoppas att du får en rejäl extra slant från dina sponsorer för ditt bloggande!

  7. johan – heading back to sweden right now, cant wait to get home and relax for a week or two.

    Rikard – jag tror alltid skidfilmer kommer vara aktuella då det finns sessions vi inte ens får filma eller ta foton av, alltså skidfilms-shoots osv. däremot försvinner ju tävlingsmaterial ur skidfilmerna för det får ju alla se direkt. klart det ska vara gratis, det är ju något alla borde sträva efter. jag tar inte betalt för mitt bloggande då jag inte vill ha reklam på sidan eller sända ett vinklat budskap, bloggande för reklam är emot mina principer. jag vill att folk ska känna att det de läser här inte är färgat av något annat än mina egna åsikter.
