monday

sorry about the delay posting monday’s news on here, for some reason the server was down all day yesterday.

anyways, we’re up and running. or skiing, rather. took a couple runs yesterday but all of Åre has turned into ice. I really hope it gets warmer the next couple of weeks or the JOSS jumps will be better suited for ice skates.

here’s a few shots of Jon’s work in progress:

Jon’s building a huge hip jump where the old JOI jump used to be, so I’m stoked for that. let’s aim at the sky.

also went to check out the 4-jump line in Bräcke terrain park, and if it just gets a little warmer and the ice sheet that now covers the jumps goes away, it’s safe to say this will be Åre’s best park yet. can’t wait for some afternoon sessions!

Today the weather unfortunately took a turn for the worse, so im gonna rest, go to the gym, and go hang out with mattias to check out some of the shots we got from Japan. then on thursday-saturday it looks like we’re gonna get some sun, so me and Russ are gonna get our game on and hopefully make an edit or two!

    good luck on joss. you prob know all there is to know about Are, But I just think it would be good for your edit, that you or Windstedt( that is if he is home) might know some small secrets at the back of the hill – offpiste – that could be your teams secret thing any way good luck (backcountry would be a new thing i a Joss edit) stoked to se what EA and OH can bring up.

  3. stupid question, just need an outside opinion. My friends and i usually discuss this when driving to Åre from Täby. Witch way is faster? via Sundsvall or via ljusdal/bollnäs/järvsö. I drive though Sundsvall even though it is 46 km longer. I believe with its bigger roads it is way faster. witch do you prefer? :-)

  4. emil – I always drive “inlandsvägen”, if you just make sure to drive at weird times with no traffic, its way faster. i usually make it up in 6 hours if the roads are somewhat dry. never tried the sundsvall route so i wouldnt really know though…
