sick final, so fun to watch, I’m obviously wishing I was in it, having to watch a competition go down is never fun, but it’s something you have to learn to live with if your’e going to last long in this industry. at least i did the best of it and made sure to get the action on film for you guys, enjoy!

If hit had been Jon doing the switch double that HH did in the super finals it would NOT have been a winning jump. Don’t get me wrong, I think Harlaut has a bigger bag of tricks than Jon and deserved the win, but that specific jump shows how much the scoring is based on other things than just the execution of the jump. Compared to other judgement-based sports, the competition aspect of this sport seems like it has a decent way to go.
Well I think Henriks trick was the best of the 4. Although i also think Paddy Grahams trick from Quals that got him 11th was better than the other 3 at least so i still feel th juding is strange. Also, you made me cringe Jacob. http://brobomb.com/2010/01/there-are-other-songs-i-promise/
EMK: Not saying that Henriks trick wasn’t the best of the four in the finals. Just that if it hade been Jon that made it, I think the judges would have considered it “the same old Jon Olsson trick” and it would not have scored as much. It’s one thing that it’s more fun to see a variety of tricks, but the scoring should not be based on how many times you’ve done the trick. There are other ways to promote variation.

I think that Ambuhels trick from the finals was technical the best, but Harlaut did something diferent from the others and because of that he is the 1st. Andreas was OK but we already seen it. Sorry for PK , bad crash look’s like crash at JOI 09 but he is warming up and he will be OK in a mounth or two. Jacob, your place is still in first 8. Rock on!
EMK – ive actually never heard that song in any other ski edit, but maybe thats because I never watch ski edits. maybe because ski edits bore me to death.
andrew – the reason i havent been skiing is not that i like surfing more, but that i have been hurt and I didnt want to start the season feeling bad. now my whole body is feeling a 110% healthy and I cant wait to ski more! going to hintertux, austria in a few days where Im going to spend most of the fall. expect some righteous ski edits!
kim – Im not so sure. Jon’s switch 9 looks completely different, henrik is the only one doing it that flat, making it look totally unique. i think he deserved 1st place, no doubt about it. elias’ trick is impressive, but you have to consider other factors than sheer technicality.
