grey? blue? grey? glue? brey.

Today was an interesting day.

Woke up at 7.30 and got some hotel breakfast consisting of a hard boiled egg, a yoghurt, two slices of brown bread with cheese and a coffee with milk. Looked out the window and saw grey clouds moving in, and got totally bummed out. Not much you can do with only two days left so we got on the 8.40 bus up to the gondola, and made it up to the park at around 9.30 (yes, it takes forever to get up there, one bus and three lifts), where we met Taylor Seaton and B-dog.

They told us the park was closed for shaping. Arrrghhhh, not again!

Anyways, we ended up ducking the rope halfway down the park a few times, hitting the rails and the smaller line in the fog. Then as soon as they decided to open the park, the clouds cleared and the sun came out, revealing a perfectly groomed jump line with new take-offs (more pop), and fresh, soft landings. Score!

The weather kept moving in and out due to strong winds that also made it difficult to get the right speed dialled in, but in between the clouds I managed to get a bunch of runs on the big jumps with some of the other swedes that are down here, doing mostly back-to-back 7s, and a few dub 12s in preparation for the weekend. All in all a sick day, with interesting weather! Ended up skiing all the way down again, and the fresh powder that fell over the last few days has now turned into slush, so that’s a bummer for all you holiday-skiers…

Now I’m chilling in the hotel room with a cold beverage waiting for dinner time. Tomorrow is our last day on the hill, and it looks like a good one. Feel like trying something new so I hope the forecast doesnt change, right now it’s telling us warm temperature and a light breeze. Hopefully we’ll get the camera out and make a last day edit as well!

Stay tuned tonight for a few video shots from yesterday, nothing crazy but a few rails and pow turns. Video is uploading as we speak!
