floating through space

Thats basically what I feel like right now. Slept a total of 2 hours last night and did the drive down to Portland with my dad and Oscar at about 3am. Boarded flight to Chicago. Sitting at my gate drinking coffee and listening to loud music, people watching. Sometimes I feel like Edward Norton’s nameless narrator in the movie Fight Club;

You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O’Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

And then I snap back out of it and realize I am on my way to bottomless powder skiing, all day, with my friends. Not such a shitty deal after all, I think as I take another sip of my orange mocha frappucino, or other liquid attempt to imitate coffee.

Another flight and I will be in Calgary, Alberta. Beautiful Canada. Going to be good to be back, Haven’t been in two years. Then another 4 hour bus ride awaits. Then a hotel night in Golden, then a shuttle up to the lodge in Chatter Creek, BC, where Richard Permin and Sean Pettit are waiting with the rest of the MSP crew.

It’s going to be a good two weeks…
