2013
Happy new year everyone! Hope you all had a great new year’s eve, mine was spent in an apartment overlooking Åre town square watching the thousands and thousands of Swedish kronor’s going up in colorful smoke across the village. Pretty impressive sight, although I don’t get fireworks and why people spend money on them. Anyways, the last few days here in Åre have had their ups and downs, started off the trip with some sledding and shooting with Daniel Rönnbäck, in chest deep powder. Got a few good shots but ended up punching a tree and fracturing a bone in my hand. Not a serious one but it’s sore as hell and will take a few weeks to fully heal, which is a bummer. Hopefully I can still ski, I guess I will have to grab with my right hand. Here’s a load of photos from the trip so far, for some reason the color looks awful but if you click them to watch the full 1000px image they will appear the way they should. If anyone knows the reason behind this, please let me know!
doing the 8 hour drive up from Stockholm under sunny skies and on dry roads. we arrived in Åre with a fresh foot of snow on the ground, scoring!
the morning after, overlooking Åreskutan (the local mountain) from across the lake on top of some sweet little pow lines.
Daniel Rönnbäck ready to work!
David Kantermo scoping his line
fun little flatspin in front of Daniel’s lens. unfortunately I overrotated slightly and ended up busting my hand on a log under the snow. could have gone worse I guess.
Åreskutan drenched in sun and a fresh layer of snow.
Sofia getting her ski legs back.
little cliff jump with a bandaged hand and some painkillers in the system. can’t stop skiing!
the big line in Bräcke terrain park under construction. jumps are looking good!
Sofia and I dressed up for new years
4 more days here in Åre before I’m heading over to Copper for the first FIS contest of the season. Hopefully I can convince my hand to behave by then! Stay tuned on the blog for some more photos and text the next few days!

Godt nytår! Tak for alle fotos og fortællinger!
JJ/AKJJ vs. Norwalk i Åre. Vad tycker du?
norwalk! du behöver lite styvare tail för att hantera crust/scare!
har du kvar dina gamla ak? hör av dig!
