So since not much is going on at the moment, except waiting for this stupid leg to heal (taking out the stitches thursday), I decided some different posts were in order. I’m sure many of you wonder about my eating habits, so I decided to make a post about the typical food I eat in a day. I’ve been living the ovo-lacto-vegetarian lifestyle now for about a year (no beef, pork or poultry, but the occasional fish, I’m still not a 100% there), and I figured I should share some food ideas. I’m lucky to have a beautiful girlfriend who is a genius at making a bunch of food once a week and store it all in the freezer so we really don’t spend much time cooking in a normal day. Here’s today’s food intake:
8 am: I know I have blogged about this breakfast before but it’s worth another mention. Cooked red rice in oat milk, with fresh fruit (in this case banana and apple), sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, shredded coconut, coconut cream and honey. Served with a fresh cup of coffee and I’m ready for a full day!
1 pm: After gym meal, mung bean patties, beetroot and goat cheese (last nights leftovers), broccoli and mango salad, and 200 grams of cottage cheese. These patties are an amazing meat substitute, and super tasty.
Just leave a comment if you want any recipes for these meals! Go green!
