So sunday we went out to snowmass and got to session this beauty for a couple hours before we were done and I headed back to Breckenridge, which is my current location. Pretty sweet setup…:

before sessioning for 3 hours with Torin and Gus. and a heli…

So now I’m back in breck, it’s 8.19am and it’s sunny out so I think it’s time to go ski freeway and get some more shots with Pat, looks like a fun day in the making!

beautiful day on the beach today, headed out for a quick surf while Sofia posted up in the trees, here’s the result:

after 2 hours of surfing alone in the sun we headed back home and right now I am packing my bags for a 5 day New York City vacation with Sofia. If you have any suggestions on cool thing to see and do that are off the beaten tourist path, let us know!

Xmas surf!

Headed town to Torö south of Stockholm today to see if the winds on the Baltic sea had managed to scrape some waves together. Definitely an iffy forecast and not one I would typically go on, but it’s going to be a long winter and any surf I can get is better than nothing. Surprisingly, there were some good ones out there! 5°C in the air, 5°C in the water, and not a soul out… (oh, and freezing rain and 20 knot winds, props to Sofia for shooting)

After 2 hours in the rain Sofia got enough and so did my arms after battling the strong current. Time to head home and prepare for Xmas tomorrow…(or the day after if you’re english or american).

BTW, thanks so much for all the props on my MSP re-edit! Makes me even more stoked to get back out there and beat it this year. It’s going to be a good winter!

As you all know I went to London for a day in november to do some modeling for UK sports/fashion webmag spashion.com, here’s the result.

Had two good days in Breckenridge CO so far, sessioning the small jumps and rails, working on some different rotations. Keystone’s big line just opened but I figured I need to get the basics down before going crazy on big jumps. The Dew tour course looks absolutely amazing however, and practice starts tomorrow. Shit’s going to be wiiild!

So the Freeskier 2011 photo issue just came in the mail, and to my amusement one of the hip shots from June earlier this spring made it in. Big ups to Chris O’Connell for being a decent photographer.

In other news, just finished up a pretty sweet edit from Bear/Mammoth that will drop in the next couple of days, packing up my bags tonight to catch a 6am flight out to Denver tomorrow morning. Hopefully we’ll make it to Copper to watch the finals of the Grand Prix halfpipe competition. Until next time, sunny California!

Mammoth

Spent the weekend in Mammoth mountain hoping to score some early season snow and a soft park. Unfortunately some 150 mph (!!!) gust winds during the week had taken all the snow off the mountain, except for some spots of ice here and there. GS heaven, not so fun for a park and pow skier, I guess. Skied the park for two days with a crew of fun people such as E’Dollo, B-dog, Chris and Sean Logan, JF Houle, Alexis Godbout, Chris Benchetler and Maude Raymond. After collecting a bunch of footage for the next Arcast, Armada team manager Josh Bishop, filmer Corey Stanton and myself made the decision to return to Costa Mesa for a couple of days around the office. Just booked my flight out to Breckenridge on friday morning, so it’s going to be awesome to get a few more days in the water and in the sun before the comp season kicks off!
