What is better than a good topfen (quark cheese) studel or a big portion of ice cream after a good riding day?

First time ever I tried to make the Austrian speciality named Kaisersmarrn. It was suprisingly easy, try it!

Here is a recipe for 2 persons:

3 eggs

100 g flour

1 tsp. sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/4 dl milk

100 g butter

raisins

apple jam

Mix egg yellow, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and milk. Whisk egg white to foam and mix it all carefully. Melt butter in the frying pan and add the paste. If you like you can add raisins. Turn the "pancake" around and wait some few minutes before you grab two forks and tear the pancake to pieces. Serve it with apple jam and sugar.

 

Powder, powder; up to the tits! :)

Mixed Green Salad with Mozzarella. Take what you have and mix it together: Onion, tomato, salad, nuts, mozzarella, basil. 

Baking salmon in aluminum foil allows for a more flavorful meal and easy cleanup. This technique traps the moisture inside the foil to prevent the salmon from drying out. I added the salmon with lemon, basil, various herbs and olive for a richer flavor.

CUCUMBER SALAD: 

1 cucumber
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar, 7%
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper

Mix together water, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Cut cucumber with cheese grater and put the slices in bowl. 

Raspberry Sorbet:
Server a fresh raspberry sorbet for dessert. This is made with apple juice, in five minutes.
Put raspberries, 2.5 deciliter apple juice in a blender. Blend while gradually in the rest of the apple juice to sorbets are smooth and well blended.

Easy to make, but takes a while

Do you like to invite your friends for dinner and want to make something special? Then try this pie recipe!

For the dough you will need:

3 dl flour

125 g butter

3 table spoons cold water

Cut the butter into small pices, mix the butter and flour and add water. Let the dough rest in the pie dish in the fridge for about 30 min. Put the oven on 225 C and pre-bake the pie for 10 min.

Then take your favorite ingridients and cut them into pices.

Mix pizza cheese, 3 dl of milk, 2 dl of cream, 5 eggs, salt and pepper. Put the mix on top of your favorite ingridients and the pie will be ready in 40 min on 200 C. Easy and delicious!

Powderdays are Fundays, and ending the day with Homemade Healthy Pizza!

Homemade Healthy Pizza Recipe:

I used the recipe of PolaBread I've posted earlier. 
Pizza Dough "PolarBread" :

100g Oatmeal crushed

900g Wholewheat flour

50 g sugar

1 package yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

5 dl water

3 tablespoons crushed flaxseed in 1 dl water

1 dl melted butter

Mix everything.
Put a cloth over the bowl and put it somewhere fairlywarm for an hour.


Pizza Ingredients: 

Olive oil

Tomato sauce  

Mozzarella cheese

Mushrooms, thinly sliced

Sausage

Chopped fresh basil

Pesto

Pepperoni, thinly sliced

Onions, thinly sliced

 

Bake the pizza for 5-12 mins until crisp and golden around the edges. Scatter with the parsley to serve.

 Watch the new movie with a lot of powder tits!

Since Tuesday morning there has been 25-40 cm of new fallen snow over widespread areas. This adds up to 50-70 cm of snowfall over the last 36 hours.

How can you choose a healthy energy bar? 

You burn calories in the backcountry, so packed snacks like energy bars and dried fruit that give you energy without weighing down your pack.


You can make you own energy bar at home. By making your own energy bars, you can get al of the macronutrients and a variety of vitamins and minerals without all of the added suger and additives. Best of all, is that it is cheap and easy to make!

Recipe for POWDERBARS:
100g oatmeal
60 g dried fruit, chopped (raisins, cranberries, pineapple, mango)
50 g almonds, chopped
25g walnuts, chopped
25g cashews, chopped
juice of 1 orange
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
4 tbsp sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons butter
8 tablespoons honey

The first step is to mix all dry ingredients together. 

Combine the orange, butter, honey, salt and cinnamonand in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat.

Stirring occasionally, until everything bubbles appear on the surface, 4-5 minutes.

Pour the honey mix over the nuts and cereal. Stir with a spoon until the dry ingredients are evenly coated. Scrape the mixture into the pan and pat it firmly into the corners. Bake for 5 minutes.

Remove the bars from the pan. Cut into bars. Wrap each bar in wax paper or plastic. Storing the bars in your freezer.

I have been looking at this couloir many times. Now it felt like a good moment to ride it so me and Caroline went for it. The inrun was not so easy but the snow in the couloir was good.

Today was the day for new challenges and adventures. After powder hysteria yesterday, old men with ABS backpacks, making the offpist into a mogule field. We found good untracked terrain. 

Couloir riding in the morning

You shall share all snacks. If you have sustenance, it is your duty to hook your friend up with a piece. (Caroline dropped her nuts in the snow;)

 Strudel "a la what you have at home"

It is so easy to make strudel, if you don´t have time to make the dough then you can buy it in the foodmarket. We made our own strudel today with apple, pear, berries (black currant, red currant, raspberries, bramble), take what you have at home and add brown sugar, honey and lemon. Brush it with egg. 200 C for 30 minutes and you can enjoy a deliscious dessert. Its fast and easy to make!
