Finally powder

We got some light, nice, fluffy, white particles from the sky. I have had some great runs with nice friends the last days. Yesterday I was riding my new Nitro, Blacklight, gullwing snowboard, it´s nice in powder but I need some time to get used to it, at least in the prepared slopes I can feel the difference compared to a normal camber.

Nice runs from the lift in the morning.

Late afternoon I hiked alone up to Maroikopf, noboy there, peaceful, beutiful afternoonlight

Up early in the morning, back late in the afternoon

Today I decided to rest, it is cloudy and I need to charge energy. After three powder days there is not much untracked nearby the lifts anymore and I felt too tired to go splitboarding this morning.

Time for baking in the evenings

Next week I will be off to St. Moritz and after that to Hochfugen, it´s time for comp. riding. I am looking forward to compete again and to meet many familiar faces.

Where is the snow?

We are still waiting for more snow in Arlberg, Austria but I have had good days on snowboard and skis this season. I find it nice to go skiing when there is no good powder. I want to learn something new, or actually I did ski when I was a kid but that is many years ago. I enjoy the time here in Austria even if we don´t have the best snow conditions.

My friends, Luidji and Schildgröte, are reading the map and gps

A splitboaring tour to Kappl; climbing, riding, hiking

The first competition for the season that I was planning to take part in, that competition they had to postpone. Last weekend they arranged the first 3 star comp. for the season in Verbier. I could have done a better run, I´m a bit disappointed, but yea, there will be new chances soon. We got some good riding in Verbier after the competition and I got to see Bec de Rosses for the first time in my life. It´s always nice to meet all freerider friends after a long break from competitions and I´m looking forward to the next competition in St. Moritz.
