From Arlberg to Andorra
I have been to Andorra before but never for a longer time. The time is anyway running away so fast here, it’s a really small country but more than enough to do. We have been up skiing every day the last week but today is bad visibility and it´s time for me to write blog, emails, visiting Andorra la Vella, two meetings and so on. Tomorrow will be competition again and I will watch the photos I took yesterday to make sure I will remember my line.
We arrived here for about a week ago, the plan was to ride the FWQ 3 star in Grandvalira last Saturday but due to hard wind and a bad accident they had to postpone the competition until Monday. On Monday we got really good competition weather, some few centimeters of new snow and sun. I felt a bit nervous after not being able to ride my line on Saturday but when I finally was standing at the top on Monday I felt relaxed. I changed my line from Saturday but I had no problems finding the new line and the snow was really good. I was happy with my run and at the prize giving I got to know that I won. It feels so good and it gives extra motivation to continue competing.
During the week it has not been that good snow but we went up riding with a professional photographer named Alex Gosteli and got some good shots you will see later. Thanks Alex.
After being in St. Moritz for some days I start to remember what real powder is. So much snow, good conditions for competition and of course I messed up my run on the last drop, but yea, I had some good days in the powderland.
I have done a lot during the last week. On Monday I went by train and bus to Kappl for watching the FWT competition and then I was snowboarding back to Arlberg in the afternoon. It was wind pressed snow on the way back to Arlberg but it was a nice, sunny day and i got to see some amazing runs from some of the Freeride World Tour riders.
I came yesterday evening back from a competition in Hochfugen. I had good parts and really bad parts in my run, so the points where not that good in the end. I´m now looking forward to the next competitions that for me will be in Andorra, I will ride some good lines there!
