I have been travelling a lot the last month as well. After Andorra I went to Arlberg to find some good snow and good company in Lech and Zurs.
In Chamonix was the second FWT stop for the season. Im not hundred procent happy with my run in Chamonix. It was hard for me to find a line that I felt good with, it took me hours and hours. In the end I didnt manage to get to my last drop and I ended up 5 th. Now it will be all up to what happens in Fieberbrunn in March. I stayed a couple of days in Chamonix after the competition, to rest and to do the ISTA avalance course that is obligatory for all FWT riders this season. The idea with the course is really good but it was hard to understand the instructor who did talk a lot in Italian! My Italian skills are not that good.
Chamonix, in the morning before the competition
I went back to Monterosa to repack my stuff and to organize the next trips. There was still no possibility to ride good offpist due to too less snow so I decided to go to Courmayeur to get some riding.
From Courmayeur I took the bus to Chamonix and to Geneva airport. I had a morning flight from Geneva to Oslo and to get some good sleep during the night at the airport is not that easy so I felt really tired when I arrived in Sogndal, Norway.
Sogndal has a lot of snow but this time the weather was not with us and the competition got cancelled. I anyway have to say that Sogndal Freeride was one of the best organized FWQ comps. I have been to. It felt like the rider was in focus and they tried to do the best to have a good competition. Many competition organizers could learn a lot of this Norwegian crew and I think all riders agree with that.
They planned to have the competition on this face, had been nice to get to ride it, looks challenging, steep and interesting
We got a ride with the snowmobiles to the facecheck :)
Facecheck day, Manu on the lake

Tomorrow I will go direction home. Home is always home. But next competition is soon!
