early wake up call – in the car at 6:00.

Yesterday we did the Winter Games slopestyle competition over in Remarkables ski resort, which is approximately 1.5 hours away. Since our practice began at 8.30 we hade to leave super early, I felt like a racer! For some reason I am totally fine with getting up early to go surfing, but with skiing its a different thing, it sucks. Although I must say I was better than the rest of the guys in the house, Hornbeck missed practice and Spriggs decided to stay home. Not a bad idea I guess, but it was fun doing some competing again, even though the course wasnt ideal. I won the qualifiers but after having lunch and resting for 2 hours I couldnt seem to keep it together in the finals and ended up in 7th place. I am still happy with the result, I’ve only had 3 days of skiing since May, so it will only get better!

Alright, that’s what went on yesterday, today we were thinking of taking a day off, but the weather says differently so we might go shred the rail line up at snowpark for a run or two this afternoon. Make sure to stay tuned!
