Armada house
Today was another fantastic New Zealand day of fog, pouring rain, clouds and winds. Needless to say we didnt bother going to the hill since bot snowpark and cardrona were closed due to wind. NZ Winter Games’ big air competition was despite the conditions held at Coronet Peak, and props to the ten or so people who braved the elements and risked life and limb on the 80 foot jump.
Anyhow, today marked the official start of the 2009 Armada Skis product shoot. Me, Hornbeck, Oscar Harlaut, Taylor Seaton, Andri Ambuhl and Kim Boberg just moved into our new house where we were greeted upon arrival by team manager Chris O’Connell and pro team skier extraordinaire JP Auclair. Stay tuned for ten days of epicness (or more rain, as weather.com tells us).
JP said hi to everyone and then continued to pass out on the couch.

when you have these wheatercondisions, how much beer is consumed by this crew? is there drinking at all or are this to serius athletes?
Emil – when the weather sucks, we drink it blue!
no not really. actually, I just had my second beer of the trip today, so that makes two beers in two weeks. the other guys are keeping it pretty mellow too, except for a few nights out at the bar. I wouldnt call any of us very serious, but we’re no alcoholics
