This was not something I expected when I woke up this morning. Despite all the bad forecasts last night the weather had turned from rainstorm to bluebird and not a single cloud out. This made our morning rather hectic, since no one had expected this we had a bunch of new test skis to mount and plans to figure out. We somehow made it up to Snowpark around noon for a session. Unfortunately it turned out to be pretty windy and the rain that fell the other day had created a nice ice crust on top of the park. We still had a good time sessioning the rails and boxes, getting a few shots with our filmer, Wanaka local Jason Hancox. Unfortunately I can’t show you anything yet due to new graphics and outerwear, but I promise it is absolutely insane this year and the ski graphics will make everyone freak out.

Chris O’Connell refuses to follow the “unwritten rule of professional photography” – always dress black. He chooses to follow his own unwritten second rule of professional photography – ruin as many other photographers shots as possible.
