San José to Tamarindo
the outskirts of costa rica’s capital san jose from the air.
me, after the 22 hour journey, waiting for our rental car.
sunrise at 6.30 this morning over Juan Santamaria Park in Alajuela.
Sofia checking out from our hotel where we spent the night.
Driving towards the Nicoya Peninsula on the pacific coast.
After about 2 hours on the panamericana highway you cross a bridge onto the peninsula and drive into lush tropical djungle…
…and spend the next two hours on roads like this.
the end of our journey, the Pura Vida Hostel in Tamarindo. This is where we’re going to be based for the next few days.
our cosy little room for about 30 dollars a night, 2 minutes walk from the beach.
Gonna head down to the beach now and check out the surf, so stay tuned for some of that!
Jacob
