Tour of the Dew, Snowbasin – day 1

So the first day of the Dew tour in Snowbasin, UT, is finished, and I’m back at the Oakley house icing my thumb that I somehow managed to sprain pretty badly during slopestyle practice. Not that much fun, but what can you do. At least it’s not broken, and I can probably pretend like I’m grabbing. Unfortunately the jumps are not as big as I would like them to be, so putting a good run together will be really hard. Sometimes you look at a slopestyle course and go “what the hell where they thinking?”. Well, today was such a day.

Anyways, despite what I just said, the course is kind of fun and I’m looking forward to redeem myself tomorrow afternoon when we have a second practice in it. Check the pictures and videos for now:

For everyone who is curious to see what the course looks like, here’s a preview:

And, I also shot some lo-def video of the pipe practice, so here’s some of that:

Going to bed pretty soon to rest up for tomorrow. Just going to take it easy all day and cruise around the public rail park, then do some more practice at 2.30pm. Stay tuned for more coverage!

  1. Sucks about the thumb. Hey when are you guys going to show off your new armada gear?

    Cheers.

  2. your slope style POV footage is so sick!! so raw, and due to your straight airs it’s easy to imagine what it’s actually like to hit! this is definitely the best blog around; can keep up to date with what’s going on despite being in a very far away, but distinctly snowy UK!

  3. what jacket is that you are wearing there(red and white)?
You know where to get that in sweden?
