the Pants

Being a sponsored athlete is great in so many ways. Obviously, receiving fresh gear from various ski and clothing brands throughout the entire season is one of the best things about it. But since I’m always supposed to use the newest, next year’s version of everything, I am left with a lot of barely used product each season = free christmas gifts for the people around me.

I used these Oakley pants for probably about three months at the end of the 07/08 season. Leaving the US with a lot of overweight, I left them behind for my good friend Pat Goodnough to use around Breckenridge. Pat probably slept, skied, ate and showered with them on for the most part of 2008 fall and early season, before leaving them on the floor in his condo, where Matt Walker (here seen representing the Pants), found them and continued to wear them on his late night urban missions that season. To further put this fine Oakley garment to test, Josh Bishop then wore them for about 3 months in the start of the current season, skiing Breckenridge in freezing temperatures without the option of closing the once functioning zipper vents, probably giving him more than a few colds in the process. Josh then got sponsored and thus these pants no longer have an owner. If youre interested in a free pair of pants, log onto his blog and ask him for the pants, I’m sure he’ll hook you up with them if you promise to wear them with pride all season.

Oakley, thanks for making quality pants that last through 3 seasons, 4 skiers, and some of the gnarliest living, skiing, and partying conditions in the ski scene.
