Mawi
Surfed Mawi, a lefthander about 40 minutes on the motorbike east of Kuta Lombok. This is where I scored a massive day last year, a solid 12-15 foot swell with only one other surfer out. Scary. This time it was a lot smaller and wind-affected but still powerful and lots of fun. Ended up taking a big wipe-out and my legrope stretched so hard it nearly tore the tail off my board, it took out a pretty solid chunk of foam. Gonna be a fun ding repair expense.
if you look closely, you can tell that my legrope is sticking out from underneath the tail of my board, straight through the foam. didnt notice it until after the surf. glad it didnt snap the leash!
sitting at the airport in Lombok ready to fly back to bali right now. never flown domestic in indonesia before but i hear it can be pretty sketchy. see you in bali!

How the duck do you have the money for traveling so much*? i mean, yes you do have a flight gold card or something bur who pays for the hotels? nice life thought, just spend alot of time at some tropical place!
i don’t actually have a gold card yet, kris. still waiting for star alliance to get their act straight and stop losing all my hard earned miles. hotels in indonesia range between 5 and 20 dollars though, so we’re not exactly spending huge amounts at the moment…
