beach life
photos from yesterday
beach life. this beach is just 3 minutes on foot from our house here on northern Fårö. today the water temperature was about 18°C, or about 68°F. not that bad for Sweden.
this is actually a still shot from a timelapse we made. I think you’re going to like the end result.
about 15 minutes southwest from our house is this spot where we go cod fishing. just 10 feet to my left it’s over 90 feet deep: lots of big fish.
in this shot, I’m freaking out over the 30kg+ fish on the other end of my line. after 10 minutes of slow battle, it came to a complete stop somewhere down there, and I realized I was stuck in the bottom. I swear it was moving!
if I were 2 cms tall, I would surf this heaving death slab. secret spot somewhere up north.
sofia was the lucky one today, catching the only cod. this one should make for some good dinner tomorrow.
if youre going to fish cod, do it in style.
Just woke up to another day of sun, and we’re just about to head down to the beach for a few hours. No wind so far, but the forecast is telling me to be patient, monday might be pretty good…
this means waist-shoulder high waves are on our way… can’t wait to see if it’s true.
Stay tuned!
Jacob
