new music

Hey y’all,

Not too much going on at the moment, except for cruising around costa mesa on my bike and skateboarding at the armada headquarters;

Mike Hornbeck showed up and had a couple beers and blunt stalls.

So I figured I’d let you guys in on the music I’ve been into lately. Going to post my favorite tracks of my favorite albums at the moment, enjoy:

Fang Island – Fang Island

Easily my favorite album of 2010/2011, Fang Island’s self-titled debut CD has been going on repeat the last few months. I don’t even know how to classify their indie-rock/power-metal/post-punk sound, but it’s definitely got me!

Bright Eyes – The People’s Key

According to the group this is their last album under the name Bright Eyes. At least they finished with the best one yet. Let’s hope they will come back one day in some other form.

The National – High Violet

Good stuff, the perfect sound to mellow out to on roadtrips.

Thursday – No Devolucion

One of my all-time favorite bands Thursday’s latest album is a symphony of keyboards and ambient strings. Far away from their hardcore roots, this is still worth a listen.

Titus Andronicus – The Monitor

Just found these guys and love it. They remind me of Desaparecidos, which is always a good thing.

Fleet Foxes – Helplessness Blues

Great band, even greater new album.

That’s it for now, hope you enjoy!
