Mentawaii mission!
Just wanted to drop a line about where in the world I am located at the moment. Taking a ferry tonight from the port town of Padang, Sumatra, to arrive in the Mentawaii island chain tomorrow morning. This is about as far out in the middle of nowhere I’ve ever been, and this particular chain of island has some of the best surf on the planet. Pretty sweet place to spend 12 days…
So basically I think wi-fi is going to be hard to get by out there but if I do find a connection I’ll try to throw some shots up there for y’all.

If you have some time after the Mentawei, Bukittinggi, about 2 hours away from Padang is a really nice city to chill. There’s an active volcano to climb and it’s very easy to organise 2-3 days jungle hikes from there. Have fun in the Mentaweis.
