beautiful day on the beach today, headed out for a quick surf while Sofia posted up in the trees, here’s the result:

after 2 hours of surfing alone in the sun we headed back home and right now I am packing my bags for a 5 day New York City vacation with Sofia. If you have any suggestions on cool thing to see and do that are off the beaten tourist path, let us know!

Xmas surf!

Headed town to Torö south of Stockholm today to see if the winds on the Baltic sea had managed to scrape some waves together. Definitely an iffy forecast and not one I would typically go on, but it’s going to be a long winter and any surf I can get is better than nothing. Surprisingly, there were some good ones out there! 5°C in the air, 5°C in the water, and not a soul out… (oh, and freezing rain and 20 knot winds, props to Sofia for shooting)

After 2 hours in the rain Sofia got enough and so did my arms after battling the strong current. Time to head home and prepare for Xmas tomorrow…(or the day after if you’re english or american).

BTW, thanks so much for all the props on my MSP re-edit! Makes me even more stoked to get back out there and beat it this year. It’s going to be a good winter!

Whew, what a weekend. Got back home late last night after just making the 5pm boat to Stockholm. Had one last surf, making it 5 days in a row, not bad for Sweden! Definitely feeling it right now though, my shoulders and neck are aching, and I have definitely contracted a mild cold. So worth it though, now I can pack my bags and head out to the US for some skiing! So in case you were wondering where I’ve been these last few days, I’m not dead, but the internet out on the small island of Fårö, outside the small island of Gotland, 100 kilometers southeast of Stockholm in the Baltic sea, is. The wind swung the other way tonight giving me about one bar on my phone, just enough to get this little blog post out.

Anyways, the last two days have been great, we’ve had some amazing surf and some great photos. Today I spent a total of 5 hours getting the best surf I’ve ever had in Sweden. It’ll all be in the next issue of swedish action sport magazine Transition, so if youre around scandinavia, make sure to check it out.

Check back on tuesday for a more in depth report as we are headed home tomorrow night, after one last day of surf.

Yes, you guessed it. I went home from Annecy, and started looking at the weather charts 24/7. This is one of my last weeks at home before the winter so I’m trying to get as much surfing in as possible. Third day in a week today, here’s a couple shots:

Hey everyone, hope your friday is great! Right here it’s been better, I think I caught a cold after spending way too many hours in the Baltic Sea this week.

Fall in Sweden is a good thing, it means plenty of storms, and this is what they deliver:

The water temperature did a sudden drop this week and it’s way colder now, time to bring out the winter suit…

Anyways, right now all I’m going to do is treat myself some cloves of garlic and lots of cups of tea.

My home resort Åre had one of the best winter’s in 50 years, and unfortunately I missed out on about 95% of it (had three days around new years). Watch this video and swing by Åre if your’e in Sweden this winter;

So the remnants of hurricane Katia just hit Sweden with vengeance and I am about to hop in the car and drive south for some cold water stoke. What a good summer this has been for Swedish surfing, over 10 sessions in the water since Bali. This will be a messy one…

been having a busy weekend having a lot of fun and haven’t really found the time or energy to post anything. anyways, it was really windy the other day and we figured we would get some waves. the weather cooperated and this might have been the last really good summer day as the forecast looks pretty shit from now on. photos by Sofia, enjoy:

the knee is feeling a lot better, getting some serious skiing motivation! I will probably just stay in the gym for the next month and then in october it’s going to a be at least a few weeks in Austria like last year, with the Sweden crew. season 2011/2012 here I come!

Well, not much going on here as you may have noticed. Letting the blog rest up a bit for the summer but will be back on the daily blog update schedule as soon as the season gets going. The surf has been good lately, been getting 3 days in the water in 10 days, pretty rare for Swedish summer.

The schedule for the rest of the summer isn’t fully planned, I have been planning in some water ramping but that if anything can hurt your knees and back so I wanna make sure I’m strong enough first. In August I’ll probably keep working out hard, eating well, surfing, skateboarding and fishing, and then we’ll see. Been thinking about doing a quick NZ visit too, I heard september/october was awesome last year, and they have a lot of snow this time around as well.

After that it’s city comp time and it’s all starting over again!
