Whoever said "there is nothing to fear but fear itself" never had an irrational fear. It can be quite debilitating to develop a phobia. I became agoraphobic after the death of my daughter, although I have no idea if that was the cause. Good luck overcoming your new fear of heights.

Inside the lift station at the top of the Solaise lift there is a cafe where you are welcome to take your own picnic and just buy a drink. Very unusual in France we think.
