Hi Guys (and Girls), I'm Danish, but find that some Swedish ppl understand me better when I'm texting in English, so I'll just do that. I've been on 3 seasons now; 1st in Chamonix France, Skiguide for a Danish travel agency 2nd Banff, Canada, Lift Operator at Sunshine Village Ski Resort 3rd Canazei, Bartender for a Danish travel agency (there were actually as many Swedish guides and guests as Danish) So yes, there's a lot of ways to do a season. And I will personally recommend Canada, but yea, it's further away than the Alps. Another thing that I would recommend is, if you have the money up front and are thinking of traveling alone or with a group you get to know here or maybe the Danish site skisport(dot)dk, GO find a company to go thru.. It's easy, and if you find a Danish/Swedish Company you'll have the possibility to meet up with the people you're gonna live with before you move to a new country, AND you'll have a place to stay when you arrive. (that might save some money in the long run, and a lot of hostel beds and time to try and find a place to stay in an attractive destination/resort town) But I was just commenting on this thread to offer my knowledge to whoever would have some questions about Canada, France or any seasonal stuff. I got good contacts in France, Canada and USA.. And I'm moving Back to Canada this summer, so maybe I can help some of you out, that might want to go that way. Feel free to message me. And good luck with your season on snow! It's the best thing you'll ever decide to do! Cheers. Rikke
