If a track like <a href="https://bcworldcup.com/birds-of-prey-menswomens/" target="_blank">Beaver Creek's Birds of Prey</a> (757m drop) offers a highly demanding, steep, and technically challenging layout, FIS will issue a specific course certificate. The steepness and technical intensity of <em>Birds of Prey</em> make it vastly more challenging than many courses with larger drops. </p><p></p><p><em>The "Two-Run Downhill" Rule (Sprint Downhill)</em></p><p>Under <strong>FIS ICR Rule 706.2.1</strong>, if a country's topography or a specific venue lacks the natural terrain to meet the standard vertical drop, the organizers are legally permitted to run a <strong>two-run Downhill race</strong> (often called a Sprint Downhill). </p><ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">For a two-run format, the minimum vertical drop requirement decreases drastically to <strong>between 350 and 450 meters</strong>.</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">The final result is calculated by adding the times of both runs together</li> </ul></blockquote><p></p>
