The reason for this is a relatively short ascent followed by the incredible beautiful and long descent by the Strem valley (Val Strem) above the village of Sedrun. At Piz Ault ridge you must carry your skis and use the Iron hooks and ropes to cross over the top edge of the Brunni glacier. In large winding turns you reach the summit in approx. 1.5 hrs. The descent to the Val Strem begins by coming over the Stremlücke and down the valley until Sedrun. From the railway station in Sedrun, you can take the train back to Disentis.</p><p></p><p>Access paths:</p><p>Start from the Cablecar station, Disentis and the skilifts up to the Piz Ault, approx.</p><p>Start from the Camona da Cavardiras (Cavardiras hütte), approx.;</p><p></p><p>Downhills:</p><p>Descend over the Stremlücke and down into the Val Strem to Sedrun.</p><p>Descend over the Stalderfirn and down into the Maderanertal, Kanton Uri.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Verkar vara en grymt fin tur, kommer vara i området under jan-feb och Oberalpstock är defenitivt på att göra listan så vi kanske syns;-)</p><p></p><p>Observara krönet på Brunnifirn mellan 2800 och 2900m, se karta, där är det garanterat sprickor. Går inte att spekulera så mycket om exakt vägval nu innan man sett sluttningen själv (snöbryggor, lavinfara etc) men den föreslagna vägen går tydligen på vänsterkanten vilket låter vettigt.</p><p></p><p>Fan vad skidsugen jag blev nu... ...åter till tentaplugget!</p></blockquote><p></p>
