There are 3 versions of Sony Vegas 8. Only one of them can open the Canon files, the pro version which is the most expensive (around $500) of the three versions. Again, if somebody has any additional information, please let us know.Hopefully we will soon see Ulead Video Studio 11.5 which is supposed to add the capability to use the Canon M2TS/MTS files. Also hopefully the price will be considerably less than $500.If anyone hears about other programs that can edit Canon AVCHD files, please post the information.</blockquote>
