But it turned out that it is at least 300km to the nearest resort that can be seen as a good one. The nearest are Kittelfjäll, Hemavan-Tärnaby and Borgafjäll, if you want to go further you have 360km to Östersund, and from there it's about 100km to Åre or Vemdalen. But if you're really interested you have to join IKSU, the students sportsclub. The have branches in all sorts of sports as skiing and climbing, IKSU Alpin arranges trips to the Swedish alps a couple of times every semester with both ordinary skiing trips and backcountryexpeditions.
