From the information posted here in this forum, it sounds like there are currently 3 programs that can open the Canon version of AVCHD files:
1. The included Ulead MovieFactory 5.6 SE.
2. Elecard Studio AVCHD. I have never used this program but my understanding is that it can open the files and convert them to other formats such as mpeg. I don't believe that the program can do anything other than just converting the files. If someone has additional information, please jump in here and elaborate.
3. Sony Vegas Pro 8.0a. There are 3 versions of Sony Vegas 8. Only one of them can open the Canon files, the pro version which is the most expensive (around $500) of the three versions. Again, if somebody has any additional information, please let us know.
Hopefully we will soon see Ulead Video Studio 11.5 which is supposed to add the capability to use the Canon M2TS/MTS files. Also hopefully the price will be considerably less than $500.
If anyone hears about other programs that can edit Canon AVCHD files, please post the information.

var ju inte riktigt svar på din fråga men iaf vilka program som kan öppna dom.. hoppas det hjälper något. Annars kan du ju alltid öppna den i någon av dessa program o koda om de till .avi.
