Lost French guy...
Hej hej !

I'm from France and I'm here in Sweden to study for the whole year in Linköping (not the best place to go to ski). So I'd like to discover Scandinavian moutains, but I don't know anything about the places where to go for freeriding and backcountry skiing... So I'm looking for people who would like to show me some parts of your huge territory !

Of course, for my part, I'll enjoy to show you French mountains when I'll be back in France, especially Serre Chevalier where I've been skiing for 18 years...

Otherwise, if you could give me any tips to go to ski in Sweden or Norway, I'll be very happy.

Tack så mycket !
Alex

Hej Nalex!

If you wan´t to backcountry skiing i think Riksgränsen is the best place in Sweden, also Kittelfjäll, Abisko and Narvik in Norway..
I have been in Serre Chevalier, it´s a very nice mountain whit good skiing. You are lucky who have so big mountains in your country.

In Sweden we have no real mountains, it´s most like a plätta.

The best backcounty skiing in scandinavia is to be found in Riksgränsen, kittlefjäll, abisko and narvik.

I don't know how muck time you will have to travel around. If you'd like to just go ski over the weekend i think for you it would be a lot better to gå to Åre. Its really easy to go there just jump on the train. Åre is doest offer as good backcountry skiing as those mentiond above but it does offer th longest slopes in Sweden. Plus in the highseason the backcounty is ok the there anyway.

Welcome to Sweden by the way. I hope you'll enjoy your stay.

Bonne chance :)
