“The RECCO Rescue System is now an integral tool that we use for
avalanche rescue. The system is used in all initial searches in our
resort and also in the backcountry. It is an additional tool for us to
use as rescue workers and gives the avalanche victim one more
chance, to possibly survive a complete burial. I’ve been working with
the RECCO Rescue System since 1985 and the latest technology
improvements in the RECCO System gives our rescue groups
confidence that if the avalanche victim is equipped with reflectors,
we will be able to find them.”

of my safety equipment. I also have RECCO reflectors, which are
always attached to my boots. As a professional free-rider, I can see
that RECCO reflectors present a great possibility to equip all skiers
and riders with a passive avalanche rescue system. Every skier and
snowboarder can be exposed every day to avalanche danger,
without having planned it or without even knowing it. Although they
might be just a few meters from avalanche terrain, the risk is always
