Information	The Swallowtail splitboard is a cult classic that provides the most effortless, directional powder ride of all our splitboard styles. Its true beauty is experienced in glades and alpine bowls that are full of untouched powder. The proven swallowtail design means that the tail sinks in the powder, as a result the rider can power equally off both feet and does not have to lean back to keep the tip up which means no more back leg burn in powder. The shape also allows for an incredible long effective edge that delivers suprising edge hold in variable snow conditions. XTC Carbon Construction is available as an upgrade to all Prior splitboards and saves an average of 600 grams (1lb 5oz) off a Prior splitboard pressed with our standard quadraxial fiberglass. Profile: Nose rocker provides floatation and predictability in powder of all kinds. It also allows the board to initiate sooner. Traditional camber in the tail provides additional power driving off the back foot. Rider Type: Self propelled backcountry adventurers and powder hounds that ride directionally and want the added benefits of the swallowtail design. Best For: Soft open bowl and gladed powder of all descriptions. Also rides well in hardpack, crud and variable snowpack.
