Vinnarna från filmfestivalen IF3 korade
Filmfestivalen IF3 hade premiär under fredag och hade i år samlat en stor del av skidfilmsbolagen. Med start i Montreal, har lång turné med stop för prisutdelning och skidfilmsfestival i både Österrike och Frankrike bara börjat.

Stämningen var hög när både åkare och filmare från de stora bolagen hade tagit sig till Montreal i Kanada för att under galaliknande former få visa sina filmer och förhoppningsvis kamma hem ett pris.
IF3 (International Freeski Film Festival) är en årligen återkommande filmfestival som växer i popularitet. Årets upplaga är den sjätte i ordningen och efter att enbart ha funnits i Nordamerika, expanderar organisationen till Europa och Sydamerika, där utöver Annecy, som medverkade förra året, även Innsbruck och Santiago kommer få ta del av galenskaperna. Då åkare, filmare, filmmakare, fans och sponsorer får en chans att mötas personligen och se och prata film.

Det finns en mängd olika priser och klasser att vinna, där meningen är att lyfta upp så många olika former av skidskapande som möjligt. Kvällens vinnare blev bland annat Matchstick , Level 1 och Line Traveling Circus
Freeride fortsätter rapportera från festivalerna i Europa där fler skandinaviska och europeiska bidrag är att räkna med.

Best web series: TRAVELING CIRCUS
Awarded to the overall best web series, with at least four episodes last season.

Best web movie: KILL YOUR BOREDOM BY VOLEURZ
Must be distributed free of charge, over 25 minutes long, and be a 1-2 season long project.

Best north american film: ACT NATURAL BY TOY SOLDIER PRODUCTIONS
The overall best amateur film where the majority of filming and production is done within North America.

Best editing: SUNNY BY LEVEL 1 PRODUCTIONS
Awarded to the film that has the overall best editing and post production—flow, arc, color correction, visual effects, soundtrack, audio mix, etc.

Best storytelling: SUPERHEROES OF STOKE BY MATCHSTICK PRODUCTIONS
Awarded to the best film that has a consistent and relevant narrative—does not have to be a documentary, and can be fiction or nonfiction.

Best jib flick: THE EIGHTY SIX BY STEPT PRODUCTIONS

Awarded to the professional production company that displays the highest level of technical and artistic skill behind the camera.

Awarded to the best female in freeskiing, based solely on video footage seen at iF3.
